"To observe their work is to see, as William Blake once wrote, "heaven in a wildflower". Elaine and Lynne have a way of seeing the world from its deepest level and can translate that vision into wonderful works of art that delight the senses. When we look upon their artwork we feel happy, peaceful and inspired."

Nancy & Dennis Zettervall

"I feel blessed to be associated with two women of stunning genius and ability who have created some of the most varied and beautiful works of art I have seen in my lifetime. Anyone who has the good fortune to be associated with the products and the processes of their talent is blessed indeed. Their work continues to uplift and enliven one's consciousness year after year."

This is a dynamic play between the stable adult tiger and its wiggling cub who is trying to get comfortable. The protective parent embraces the trusting child.

watercolor landscapes

"The primary subject of my landscapes is light."
Lynne describes these watercolor paintings:
"This is a series of 'sketches' for larger paintings derived from local scenes in the Blue Ridge Mountains where I live and work. Coming from Southern Africa, where the leaves of the indigenous trees are compact, dense and leathery compared to those of the airy deciduous trees of North America, I often compare the trees here to delicately costumed dancers moving in space."

theater & dance drawings

Lynne Marshall describes her dance drawings: "For much of my life I have been fascinated by the grace, beauty and strength of the human body trained for performance and dance. These large scale drawings in charcoal pencil and pastel capture my experiences while watching and recording dancers and performers on stage and in the rehearsal studios. Dynamism and power co-exist in these drawings with stillness and silence. By contrasting brilliant light with dramatic, velvety darks and delicate lines with dense form, we appreciate the grace and strength of the dancers' bodies. "
